Job Title: Graduate Bid & Marketing Coordinator
Position reports to: Head of Bids & Marketing
Based: Salford Quays, Manchester

Job purpose summary

The purpose of the role is to support Swift Fire & Security’s Bid and Marketing strategy, establishing a the brand and driving Recurring Annual Revenue (RAR) Sales across the business.

The role will include support in the generation of marketing material, whilst assisting in the development of all sector and service line business development campaigns and bid activity.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has a keen eye for detail, excellent time management, a can do attitude and works well in a team environment.

The role is within a fast growing business where there are many opportunities to learn and further their career development in areas such as marketing and business development strategy.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Bid Management

- Work alongside the Bid Manager to generate and win new business
- Professionally source public and private sector tender opportunities
- Accurately complete pre-qualification questionnaires and approved supplier questionnaires
- Support in generating quality and commercial (costing) responses to tenders and proposals
- Maintain and continuously develop a ‘Tender Library’ of key information
- Dealing with any ad hoc project or duties the Bid Department considers reasonable

External Marketing

- Website management, update and optimisation
- Social Media management
- Support and improvement of physical / digital marketing material
- Design support
- Update of external communication templates (Brand Guidelines, Letter heads, quotation templates, customer satisfaction questionnaires etc.)
- Support on corporate event management

Internal Marketing

- Undertake market research
- Creating and distribution of Newsletters / Flyers / Company Memos
- Enforcing internal communication policies and procedures
- Internal CRM and Employee Portal Management

Person Specification

- Energy, Drive and Enthusiasm.
- Strong writing and administration skills.
- Excellent communication.
- A good work ethic and pride in work.
- Experience of managing multiple projects with time-critical deadlines.
- Ability to persuade, influence and challenge in a constructive manner and identify appropriate solutions.
- Understand of commercial b2b sales process and marketing
- Ideally educated to a degree level (or equivalent).
- Understanding / Indesign
- Proficiency in the use of photo shop / adobe illustrator / adope indesign and or similar design packages
- Previous experience of Wordpress or similar website management tool
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence to work with Senior Managers.
- Capable of working on own initiative, sometimes unsupervised.
- Ability to quickly grasp Swift Fire & Security’s business activities, operating procedures and processes and gain a good understanding of the industry and marketplaces in which it operates
