A great Exhibition Coordinator role with a leading national association. 

British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) promotes excellence in small animal practice through education and science. They are a professional body to serve veterinary surgeons that treat companion animals. The majority of their members work in practice, and represent over a third of the working veterinary surgeons in the UK.

About the role 

Working for a national Association, this is a fantastic opportunity to join their in-house congress team based near Gloucester. The Association hosts the largest annual small animal veterinary conference in Europe and the Exhibition forms a key part of the event alongside the globally renowned scientific programme. The Exhibition Co-ordinator is responsible for the delivery of the exhibition and sponsorship elements of the event. It is an opportunity to be part of a vibrant and dynamic community. 

About you 

Our client is looking for an individual with several years` experience in the events and exhibitions industry. Experience in exhibition management is key with a requirement to ensure successful account management, sales and operational delivery. 

They value their long-term relationships with the exhibiting companies so customer relationship management and a proven track record of exceeding customer expectations is essential. Experience in floor planning, attraction and sponsorship opportunity development along with an understanding of health and safety requirements are important for this position. A desire to be part of the veterinary community, and an inquisitive nature will enable the candidate to bring the latest developments from the events sector to their Congress. 

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and amazing attention to detail. They will need to work proactively as part of the team and have the ability to use their initiative to resolve any problems that might arise, recognising when to involve others. This is an active role in a highly customer focussed environment, working exhibition hours at a major event. The candidate will work closely with the Head of Congress and with the Association`s volunteers to ensure the smooth running of their Annual Congress and Scottish Congress from its inception to completion. The candidate must be flexible and be able to work in a pressured environment.
