This very successful international company is looking to recruit a Suppler Compliance Manager due to massive expansion of the business. About the company:
Based just outside Rochdale town centre and close to excellent motorway network links, this company has continued to grow over the last few years and has remained the market leader in their field with sites right across the UK and Europe.

About the role:
Working in their state of the art distribution centre, you will be liaising with internal departments along with 3rd part suppliers to ensure adherence to all agreed service level agreements and defined business and legislative requirements. Duties will include:

- Developing strong relationships with the operational and purchasing teams to understand and resolve issues and identify future needs to define 3rd party supplier requirements
- Working with 3rd parties and internal customers to ensure contractual and SLA commitments are met and processes and performance and improved on a continual basis including service, quality, reliability, on-time delivery and defined requirements
- Developing suitable KPIs to measure performance, and drive improvements
- Producing supplier and internal reports to review performance levels and any areas of concern along with plans to resolve these
- Communicating with key stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of projects
- Undertaking supplier negotiations
- Conducting regular site visits and reviews with all suppliers to build understanding and relationships, mainly in the UK but occasionally overseas
- Working with the goods receipt team to monitor and administer any supplier non-conformance, ensuring an effective recording and reporting mechanism is in place to resolve any issues
- Managing the Nominated Carrier Scheme, negotiating with service providers to meet company requirements
- Working with the DC team to resolve any issues caused that affect supplier and merchandising
- Liaising with merchandisers and the distribution centre regarding new suppliers to ensure that the operation is able to accommodate new products

Skills and experience required:
The ideal candidate will ideally have experience in a similar supplier compliance role within the retail or similar sectors but a senior operations manager with experience of quality control and of implementing change and riving/embedding processes will also be considered. You will have excellent negotiation skills with experience of dealing with 3rd party suppliers. You will have excellent software skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The role will involve working 40 hours a week Monday to Friday but will require flexibility across site shift patterns at times.
