eSift are currently looking for a Buyer who has fantastic interpersonal & communication skills and experience within commercial pricing and the overall product lifecycle to develop their career into a Commercial Manager role.

This is a great opportunity if you are an experienced Buyer or Category Manager looking for the next step in your career. Our client are a leading distributor and wholesaler of pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare products and have an opportunity within their Health & Beauty division.

Location: Chessington, Surrey (KT9)

Salary: Circa 40k per annum dependent on experience, car or car allowance, plus company bonus and benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience within FMCG, Healthcare or Health & Beauty and strong supplier management/negotiation skills to develop their career further within an established organisation. Experience within joint business plans is a must as this will take up a key part of the role.

Within this role you will be responsible for negotiating with suppliers to source best in market range selection, commercial pricing on lines which are not stocked within the retail business and managing the product lifecycle.

You will also be responsible for managing a selection of Health & Beauty manufacturers to increase category sales through a Joint Business Plan process and to achieve margin and income targets for the department, working with other department functions to execute the Joint Business Plans effectively to maximise category income and total contribution.

To be successful in this position you will have/be;

* Solid previous experience of buying, account/supplier/category management within FMCG Wholesale or Retail
* Previous experience of dealing and negotiating with large suppliers
* Health & Beauty knowledge would be an advantage however not a must have
* A strong commercial acumen to recognise sales & margin issues & opportunities
* Previous experience of promotions management and product category plans
* An understanding of Price, KVI’s and Margin Management
* The ability to work under pressure, prioritise and work to deadlines
* Strong interpersonal skills
* The ability to communicate and present at all levels internally and externally
* Strong numerical and analytical skills to recognise performance indicators and present findings with action recommendations
* Solid IT skills and are able to effectively use a wide range of systems and must be an advanced Excel user
