My client based in the Rotherham area is looking to appoint a Production Supervisor reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for a team of approximately 10-15 Production Operatives, supervising all aspects of the production and packing departments to achieve departmental KPI's, while maintaining company standards in the areas of site Health and Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Hygiene.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Manage and improve all departmental KPI's, including production efficiency, downtime, wastage and labour.
* Supervise team members and delegate tasks to ensure that all production processes and resources are utilized as effectively as possible.
* Ensure that all shift paperwork is managed and completed to the desired standard in conjunction with the shift QA and Production Assistant.
* Follow the shift production plan as efficiently as possible and communicate all potential issues with the Production Manager and Production Planning Manager.
* Ensure that all cleaning schedules are followed and that hygiene levels in all production areas are of the desired standard.
* Adhere to all site H&S, Food Safety, Quality and Hygiene policies and report all deviations from these procedures. Ensure that all Production Team Members are adhering to these policies and report any deviations.
* Maintain all production tools, equipment and machinery and report all relevant defects/issues to the Production Manager.
* Attend daily production meetings, ensuring that all departmental issues are clearly communicated and follow-up actions completed.
* Ensure that all production resources, such as raw materials and packaging, are available for production in line with the production plan, and that all resources are returned to the warehouse post-production run.
* Communicate regularly and effectively with the Warehouse Team Leader to discuss and prepare stock requirements.
* Maintain effective working relationships with all members of the Production and Warehousing teams, including the Production Assistant, Warehouse Team Leader, Production Planning Manager and Production Manager.
* Any other duties as reasonably required by the Production Manager or Production Planning Manager.
