We are currently recruiting for a fantastic opportunity for our client based in Watford. They are looking for an experienced Supply Chain & Co-pack Coordinator who will be responsible for managing the stock flows and movement of goods between external storage facilities to main UK distribution centre, ensuring all goods are available to meet demand in line with lead time and capacity parameters and support the co-packing function to assess the short term production requirements, taking appropriate action to ensuring all component stock is available at the Co-packer.

Key Responsibilities

* Identifying products which can be temporarily stored in the external warehouses considering business priorities / site capacities / co-pack requirements / safety stock levels and customer shelf life requirements.
* Own the external storage planning process coordinating with the Inbound Supply Planners; Co-Pack manager; UK Inventory; Customer Services; hauliers and external warehouse solutions, to ensure the right products are in the right warehouse at the right time.
* Ensure load optimisation to minimise internal transfer costs
* Using SAP-ERP to create transfer loads between sites by agreed cut off timelines
* Ensure all stocks required for orders are receipted within SAP-ERP 24 hours in advance.
* Develop a reporting tool to provide weekly forward views of storage capacity and identify when maximum capacities are reached.
* Using the Co-packing short term plan coordinate with Inbound planning and Procurement teams to ensure all component demand is planned to arrive ahead of scheduled production
* Daily review of the SAP-ERP Purchase orders to ensure all are closed on time to the short term production plan

Qualifications and Knowledge

* 3 years relevant Supply Chain experience in FMCG
* Computer Proficiency; Advanced Excel and a strong understanding of SAP ERP / Cognos 8 (desirable).
* Strong planning and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
* Ability to work cross functionally.
