A leading foodservice organization in the Slough area has been expanding. As part of their growth, they require the skills of an experienced Strategic Buyer to be responsible for defining and executing effective procurement and cost saving strategies to support the overall division.

The Role

As a Strategic Buyer, you'll be:
*Responsible for managing an annual spend of circa £50 million per annum
*Working across the food division to effectively maximise long term profits
*Ensuring cost savings for key strategic suppliers.
*Effectively and professionally executing operational buying activities to ensure the business obtains the best in value and product.

Your skills and experience:
*Previous experience of working as a Buyer within the food industry
*Demonstrable track record of managing or delivering cost saving plans.
*Excellent negotiating skills at a tactical and strategic level.
*Solid understanding of managing supplier relationships and maximising profitability.
