Position: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £18,000 - 26,000 + Company Car + Fuel Card + Bonus + Pension + Healthcare + 26 days annual leave +

Are you an Assistant QS looking for that next step in your career? This is an opportunity to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor working on a Joint Venture on a Highways Alliance.

You will report to a SQS for the scheme. The schemes will vary in value between £1m and £20m and will all be in Eastern area.

Company: A multibillion Tier 1 company operating in the UK and Globally.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Duties include:

* Preparation of accurate and prudent cost /value analysis
* Accurate Budget preparation
* Site Measurement
* Preparation of Interim and Final account measurement
* Accurate Pricing and Rating of variations
* Interim and final account agreement of sub-contracts
* Good quality and accurate records are kept and maintained
* Maintenance of cost information
* Preparation and agreement of Sundry Accounts

Candidate Requirements:

* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or similar (Essential)
* Experience of highways / heavy civil engineering would be an advantage but not essential.
* Basic Knowledge of NEC is desirable.
