The opportunity

An international company headquartered in the US is looking for an exceptional candidate to join them in a newly created European Controller role. The company currently has offices in the US, UK, Canada, France and Switzerland. Having secured PE investment earlier this year they are looking to continue their international expansion, strengthening their operations to further support their impressive revenue growth.

The role

As the European Controller you will be responsible for all financial activities related to the UK, French and Swiss offices. As this is a newly created role you will need to implement controls and processes for each of these offices, also improving the current monthly reporting. You will be responsible for the statutory requirements of each office and will also work closely with Directors and Senior Managers of the business to contribute to overall strategy in Europe. Reporting directly to the CFO (based in the US) strong communication skills will be key to this role, you will also need to possess the ability to work autonomously.

The requirements

To apply for this role you must be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience of working for a PE backed business. Previous experience of working in professional services is preferable but not essential. To succeed in this role you will need to be self-motivated, inquisitive also possessing the ability to business partner both finance and non-finance staff.
