This well known restaurant group based in Central London are looking to hire a Management Accountant for 12 months to cover a maternity leave. This is a fantastic role for someone who is looking to gain some really good commercial exposure in a growing business. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant, have at least 2 years' experience in a management accounting role and have multi-site experience.

Key Aim:

To produce timely, accurate management information; to assist with consolidated budget and forecast/business plan information; to perform key reconciliation tasks; to assist with year end processes and statutory accounts preparation.

Responsibilities:

  • Timely and accurate production and review of monthly management accounts; including unit profit & losses, consolidated profit & loss, consolidated balance sheet, consolidated cash flow and covenant testing
  • Review of monthly prepayments and accruals schedules
  • Reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts, including intercompany balances
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Preparation and maintenance of Fixed Asset Registers
  • Weekly cashflow forecasting
  • Treasury function (banking/loan management/interest)
  • Assistance with preparation of consolidated group financial statements
  • Assistance with yearend audit preparation
  • Preparation of year end draft tax calculation
  • Assistance with integration of any acquisitions
  • Implementing, improving and monitoring of controls, policies and procedures within the management accounts department and group to ensure we stay efficient as the company grows
  • Ad hoc financial analysis
  • Ad hoc KPI reporting

Key Attributes and Skills:

  • Highly numerical/strong analytical, with strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Advance Excel skills - macros, vlookups, pivot tables etc
  • Strong IT skills to take advantage of advances in technology
  • Professional financial qualification preferred
  • Approachable with excellent people skills
  • An advantage:
    • Knowledge of Sage 200
    • Payroll background
    • Good understanding of property and rent related accounting
    • Previous experience in the restaurant industry
