Sales Director - Event Sponsorship
CDM Media is celebrating 10 years of business and we are very excited about the launch of our new EMEA HQ based in the heart of London. We are currently looking for a motivated and dynamic individual to join the team. The qualified candidate will be a hands-on sales leader to drive new growth for our business and our existing presence in the EMEA region. The right person will act primarily as a Sales Leader as well as an individual contributor.
The role will be challenging but highly rewarding and this leader will be a key voice in the company. For the right executive, this is a brilliant opportunity with great growth prospects.
Please note the first round of interviews will be held in London with the second-round candidates being flown to our New York City offices for meetings with the senior leadership team. The initial induction program will include spending time in both our Chicago and New York office.

These events are intimate, high-touch and are focused on thought-leadership, relationship building, peer on peer collaboration and the sheer appetite of technology executives to accelerate their sales opportunities by selling top down to global 'C-Suite' executives.
The Sales Director will be responsible for the performance and development of a large business development, inside sales team that will be responsible for opening, cultivating and nurturing new client relationships, driving $4,000,000-$6,000,000 USD revenue and assisting with event execution within our European portfolio of events.
The right candidate will be extremely passionate about Sales Leadership and will be tasked with developing everyone’s talents to excel in their position. You will work alongside other sales leadership functions across the company.
Responsibilities will include: -
Working with the Talent Development team, recruit, onboard, train & develop a team of Business Development executives
Motivate the team through recognition, project strategy management and both performance & KPI incentive systems
Develop & implement account/territory plans to achieve revenue goals
Personal revenue generation required in line with project based revenue targets
Hands on call shadowing, feedback and performance management on calls
Set & meet both team and project based targets
Training in key CDM Media processes and sales tools
Provide constant performance feedback to all team members that is both informative and motivational
Understand prospect’s business priorities and Account Based Marketing strategies
Support the cross-sale of the CDM national & international event portfolio
3+ years of sales management
Have a clear track record of leading an inside sales team to close large sales opportunities
Solid hands on coaching skills
Self-motivation & discipline to produce individual & team results
Personal computer literacy, specifically good knowledge of Salesforce CRM
Fantastic interpersonal skills
Highly energetic & self-starter
Systematic and assertive
Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong business acumen
Experience in managing an Event/Conference Sponsorship sales team a +
Extremely competitive OTE salary, including a base salary up to £80,000 based on experience
