CREDIT CONTROLLER - European Recruitment Business

Marlin Green is an award winning international recruitment agency that provides specialist Pan-European contract IT recruitment solutions.

We are looking for a Credit Controller with previous experience in Credit Control/Accounts Receivable, ideally within an international business.

This will be an extremely autonomous position with an ever-growing finance responsibility within our business - Marlin Green have a history of hiring early-career talent and growing them in to management/director-level business leaders. We’re in a position to provide study support should the applicant be pursuing a specific financial qualification.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role:

  • Proactively engage with clients and business stakeholders to progress resolution of overdue balances.
  • Investigate and reconcile unallocated cash receipts by providing clear details and instruction to outsourced partners for allocation.
  • Prioritise accounts to be chased by using a balanced approach to cash collection and aged debt reduction.
  • Chasing clients via telephone, email, or letter and dealing promptly with customers written and verbal enquiries.
  • Attending periodic client review meetings with stakeholders (London).
  • Assisting with daily, weekly, monthly, and adhoc reporting requirements, and accounts Receivable Projects as assigned.
  • Maintaining accurate manual and system records and taking ownership of other related tasks as required.
  • Other finance/accountancy duties as and when required.

The ideal candidate for this Credit Controller position will have the following profile:

  • Up to 18 months experience in a Credit Control/Accounts Receivable post, if not dedicated to these functions then at least including a heavy involvement.
  • Have graduated with a full degree.
  • Ideally experience working with clients abroad.
  • Ability to liaise across the business at all management levels.
  • Excellent verbal, written and telephone manner.
  • A self-motivated and personable candidate.
  • Knowledge of additional European languages are a bonus but not essential.
