Solid Recruitment Solutions are proud to be assisting a growing organisation in Worthing recruit for a brand new position of Warehouse Supervisor (Midshift)

Overview of the Warehouse Supervisor position:

The position is a newly created position. You will be assisting the mid shift warehouse manager with the operation and overall performance of the shift in order to ensure the best service is provided to their customers within budget. The midshift operates from 16:00 to 00:30 (OR finish) Monday to Friday.

This will be a busy and fast paced role in an exciting new position managing the performance of the 20 warehouse pickers.There will be full training provided to ensure that staff are at their peak of knowledge to facilitate them doing the best job they can.

Package for the Warehouse Supervisor

Salary - Up to £25.000 per annum - 40 hour week (overtime at triple time on bank holidays)

Roles Duties:

·Assist in the running of the warehouse shift in order to meet agreed budgets and KPIs covering costs, productivity and service standards.

·Manage the deployment and performance of the warehouse team in order to drive operational efficiencies, service excellence and productivity within the business.

·Demonstrate the expected behaviours and standards of a people leader to help recruit, engage and develop the capability of our people and generate the right customer service culture for our business

·Ensure company assets in the warehouse (stock, cages, pallets etc.) are controlled and accounted for at all times in order to keep costs down.

·Manage the relationships with the department contacts in order to enhance internal service standards and facilitate service through to the customer.

·Ensure that good management practice and all processes are followed in order to ensure the health and safety of our employees and customers.

·Deputise in the absence of the Warehouse Manager

·Health and safety accountabilities:

  • Ensure that the Company Health & Safety Policy and Company Risk Assessments are effectively implemented at site level.
  • Ensure that effective deputising cover for all matters in relation to Health & Safety are in place for periods of absence.
  • Ensure that the BS OHSAS 18001:2007 accreditation is fully supported at site level.
  • Provide adequate information, instruction, supervision and training for employees to enable them to do their job safely, including fire and emergency procedures.

Requirements of the position:

·Experience of working within a warehouse environment ideally FMCG

·Previous management/ supervisory experience

·Excellent IT skills

·Proven man management/motivational skills

·Passionate about what they do

·Actively look for ways to improve think to impact on various performance levels in the warehouse.

·Flexible with tasks given and can adapt and contribute to change

·Takes pride in what they do and seeks news challenges to improve themselves and their team
