Financial Reporting Analyst
This is a role which requires an individual with a real talent for financial analysis and a proven ability to develop insightful reporting and MI within a professional business environment.
You could be qualified or QBE - the main focus here is your commercial acumen, analysis skills and technical capabilities.
You'll need to be able to see beyond the numbers, and know how to work your way through them to identify what they're telling you about the performance of the business, allowing you to provide robust business commentary and comparative analysis against competitors.
Experience of proactively developing reporting capabilities and making best use of systems and MI dashboards will be particularly useful. Ideally taking a lead in doing so, but this could be a step up opportunity for someone with the capacity and desire to take on increased ownership of their performance.
The role produces regular reporting packs with commentary, provides analysis on divisional performance, benchmarking analysis, with liaison with key stakeholders across the business to answer queries and to highlight any issues for review. You'll also help in the development of reporting and roll out of new systems and applications working closely with colleagues in technical teams.
The firm are a high profile international law firm, with a respected reputation in the industry worldwide. Previous legal sector experience is not a necessity, although it is likely that shortlisted applicants will have had experience within a professional services firm environment. Knowledge of Cognos TM1, SQL and data modeling skills will also be highly desirable.
