Junior Development Surveyor - 24k - Our Client is a London based expert property agency that specialise in both the commercial and residential sector. They are currently looking to employ a Junior Development Surveyor on a short term contract, expanding their number of staff to meet a growing client base. With a wealth of experience, our client offers the opportunity for intelligent, hard-working individuals to kick-start their career with one of the most prestigious UK property firms. Assisting and working alongside the two Directors in the business.

The Role will involve the following:

  • Researching residential comparable evidence, and also planning histories and planning potential.
  • Preparing sales particulars for development opportunities to be marketed for sale. This will involve writing property descriptions, interpreting architects plans and schedules, researching the planning status of a property, and presenting it in a clear, logical brochure format.
  • Carrying out site visits for sale (invariably in London and accompanied by one of the team) in order to gain a thorough understanding of the opportunity and to then be able to speak to potential purchasers on the phone about the opportunity.
  • Assisting with the marketing of properties by utilising the in-house database (training will be provided), and matching purchasers to opportunities.

The Person MUST have a university degree in a property related subject as well as a good understanding of the property industry, planning systems and the current London property market conditions. The candidate should furthermore possess excellent communication skills, both written and over the phone. The applicant should be confident, hard-working and have a highly organised approach to work with excellent attention to detail.
