Facilities Soft Service Manager job paying up to £28,500 working for Bristol Health care trust.

Your new company

Your new company is a NHS Foundation Trust working in the Bristol Area. They provide patient care, education and research, working closely with the local Universities to find cures for a variety of illnesses. They are committed to working closely as a partnership with all local Healthcare providers to develop the Bristol and South West community. As they are a public sector body they are supported by the government as well as local communities.

Your new role

In your new role you will be the Facilities service manager and will be supporting the operations manager. You will be in charge of Soft Services this will include providing efficient and effective cleaning, catering, portering and linen services. You will be required to monitor Linen and Laundry as well as a number of smaller associated facilities contracts. You will be client and public facing and will discuss regularly service issues and make recommendations for change. You will be required to ensure high standards and monitor this throughout the trust. As a part of your role you will also be managing a small team including budgets and HR issues.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in your next role you will need to have experience within a soft services environment as well as being comfortable managing a large contract. You will be either degree or NVQ Qualified or have equivalent experience within a relevant role. You will need to be a confident manager and have experience managing a team. Your knowledge of Food hygiene would be a benefit. You will also need to be comfortable dealing with budgets, audits and project management. Your strong people skills will also be a major advantage for you.

What you'll get in return

In return for all your hard work you will receive a salary of up to £28,500 plus holiday and pension. This is a fixed term 12 month contract that has the possibility to be extended. You will be working within a public sector body and within a unique environment. This is a great role for somebody looking for an exciting challenge over the next year.
