Account Manager - Public Sector Media Relations/ International PR Firm
Our client is a leading global communications network founded in 1981 to deliver data-driven strategies for Public Relations, Government Affairs, Investor Relations and Event Management. The company employs around 1,000 staff working in 53 offices across the US, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.
We are currently recruiting for an Account Manager for our client’s health, public sector and charities team. At least 18 months’ agency experience in a media relations/ account handling role would be preferred, but more important is the passion, drive and acumen to deliver results for clients. A hands-on approach and a deep understanding of the media landscape is essential.
You will be responsible for leading excellent client work, supporting new business submissions, managing accounts day-to-day and providing guidance to junior members of the team.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Experienced in managing and working on a diverse range of accounts
Good amount of agency experience, worked with the public-sector
Very strong media relation skills
Strategic, analytical thinker with the initiative to see a program through from start to finish?
Strong understanding of both traditional and digital public relations
Curious - a desire to learn, improve, apply new knowledge and develop self?
Excellent grasp of clients’ marketplaces, audiences and routes to market
