Our client is looking to bring in an experienced Health and Safety manager, able to drive a cultural and behavioural change around Health and Safety in our two UK production facilities, one in London and one in Ireland.

Health & Safety

  • Design and implement a Behavioural Health & Safety change program and strategy to reduce minor incidents across the London and Ireland production facilities
  • Support the UK Production Management team to reduce incident rate
  • Ensure the company complies with all current legislation in relation to site safety and facilities management
  • Carry out risk assessments, advise how risks could be reduced, and ensure training and SOPs reflect the risk assessment findings
  • Keep records of incidents and accidents and produce management reports
  • Manage and organise the safe disposal of hazardous substances, advising on a range of specialist areas e.g. fire regulations, noise, safeguarding machinery etc.

Site Maintenance / repair

  • Undertake emergency and planned maintenance and repairs within capability; respond effectively and maintain a log of such works
  • Prepare maintenance and facilities related capital expenditure project / work plans; liaise with contractors and be their main point of contact to maintain cost-effective schedules.
  • Manage all Facilities contractors on site, ensuring that all Health and Safety requirements are met, monitor their performance and inspect completed work
  • Undertake routine inspections of the site, daily maintenance checks including heating and lighting systems throughout the premises


  • Strong Health and Safety experience in a production/manufacturing environment
  • True 'people person' who can evidence instilling behavioural safety change through developing relationships and rapport with key stakeholders and engender positive working relationships
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualified (or equivalent)
  • Focused on process improvement with strong admin/organisational skills
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage a varied and complex workload
  • Technical knowledge of building services
