The role is full time and permanent offering an excellent salary package .This is an exciting and unique opportunity.Main Purpose of PositionLeading the bid team to deliver innovative and professional RFx responses in line with the company standard, brand and capability ensuring quality and competiveness whilst mitigating contract and commercial riskKey Responsibilities and Duties

  • Management of the Bid Team (Bid Co-ordinator & Technical Bid Consultant) with responsibility for performance and resource management including development and coaching
  • Responsible for the project management of large and complex bids ensuring high quality and on-time delivery drawing on stakeholders from across the business with a clear understanding and ownership of the programme
  • Responsibility for compiling and ratifying the Project Delivery Programme relating to tender submissions and presenting offering to the key decision makers
  • Define and evolve bid process including active early qualification, Go/No Go, Bid response processes and post bid activity and debrief
  • Develop and enforce the governance and key steps as defined by the bid process including sign off, risk log and authorisation
  • In conjunction with the AM or BD lead, become the owner of the pursuit in terms of fully managed opportunities including presentation phases, clarification up to a clear and defined handover to operations/implementation including debrief (win or lose)
  • Responsible for designing, implementing and evolving bid processes, industry best practice and discipline through external networks, experience and personal development
  • Ensure bid & knowledge assets and processes are shared across the business
  • Develop a methodology to embed best practice processes across the organisation allowing AM/BD and Pre-sales teams to be autonomous in less complex bids using tools, knowledge and assets
  • To attend networking events with clients, consultants and suppliers to further our goals

What Experience, Skills and Attributes you will need to be successful?

  • Highly motivated self-starter with a desire to succeed
  • People, project and bid management experience within the technology and services sector
  • Able to lead and motivate a virtual team particularly in the pursuit and development of business
  • Experience of working on large and complex technical bids
  • APMP/Shipley/Prince 2 qualifications an advantage
  • Strong influencing skills, ability to operate comfortably and influence at C level
  • Excellent presentation skills with a broad knowledge of the components of our offering and proposal
  • Strong communicator both verbal and written with a good working knowledge of MS office suite
  • Strong technical background
  • Experience of working within a sales and commercial environment
  • Ability to be innovative and creative to articulate customer value
  • Ability to understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues
  • Wish to develop a long-term career with advancement
