Audit Control Manager Banking

An Audit Control Manager is required by a leading global investment bank to manage a team of 8 responsible for supporting the COO division`s early surveillance and participation in internal, external and regulatory audit engagements and management of internal, external and regulatory audit findings and self identified issues (SII). The team are all based in Birmingham and have a global remit.
Using your strong leadership skills, you will drive a culture of high performance within the team by innovating the strategic vision, direction, and development of the overall area to this framework. You will instigate clear, consistent communications including cascading goals and performance objectives, raising awareness of successes, issues or lessons learned and ensuring that messages are received throughout the organisation, whether it is to the global team, senior management, regulators or Executive Committees. You will drive the agenda for the team and personally engage with the highest levels of COO Senior Management regarding audit and SII related matters. You will support the design and implementation of frameworks to proactively manage the entire audit and SII process. You will also provide regular MI reports to senior management regarding progress and any trends or areas of concern.
You will be an experienced team manager with strong leadership skills. You could have a background in audit (financial services), or alternatively may be an operational manager with an investment banking background and knowledge of the full trade lifecycle looking for a new challenge. You must also possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Any previous project management experience would be advantageous.
