The Organisation

Our client is recruiting on behalf of a pioneering charity that is dedicated to ending domestic violence and abuse. They are now looking for a Training Manager to join their passionate team in Bridgend.

The Role

As the Training Manager, you will oversee one of the charity’s vital training delivery projects.

Specifically, you will ensure that individuals affected by domestic violence have access to educational and training opportunities to enable them to become an important part of their community.

Leading the Project Team, you will:

- Motivate staff and create an environment that attracts, inspires and retains high quality people
- Implement all aspects of the project, ensuring that objectives, targets and timescales are achieved
- Co-ordinate the development of comprehensive, high quality, holistic support into employment for individuals
- Conduct workshops and deliver training to individuals
- Develop workbooks and courses and deliver training programmes
- Help individuals to improve their literacy, numeracy and IT skills by utilising things that are relevant in their day-to-day life, such as budgeting
- Promote the project in your local area

About You

To be considered, you will need:

- At least two years’ experience of working in a leadership and/or management role
- Extensive experience of delivering training and educational programmes
- At a minimum, GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- The willingness to work flexible patterns, including evenings and weekends
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills

Ideally, you will have a degree level qualification in a teaching or training related discipline. A PGCE certificate would also be beneficial.
