Programme Officer, Dudley, salary £22,500 pro-rata/fixed term contract.

Our client (not-for-profit) supports local grass roots community projects through the distribution and monitoring of grant funded programmes.

They currently have a fixed term opportunity for an Officer to support the development of one of their EU/Big Lottery Funded programmes - this specific programme aims to tackle the root cause of worklessness and help people who are unemployed get back into work.

Our client works with approx. 20 delivery partners on a contract basis and they need assistance with the support and audit of these contracts and partners in accordance with the grant criteria and deliverables to cover for a maternity leave - initially 3 months, could be extended. Hence only candidates with appropriate relevant experience, who are available to start work early August and who are available for work for at least 3 months will be considered.

As this role includes travelling round/visiting the delivery partners within the region, own transport and a full driving licence is also essential.

Ideal candidates will be:

  • Customer centric - an ambassador for the programme, available as the main point of contact, supportive in helping the partners to understand and achieve their delivery targets, good at communicating and sharing knowledge etc. Ideally with prior experience of working on multi-agency programmes.
  • Computer savvy - able to collect, analyse and monitor management information in relation to the programme deliverables and performance indicators.
  • Methodical and organised - experienced at understanding the details of contracts and conducting regular audits, sharing performance data and supporting/monitoring action plans for the achievement of goals, targets and standards. Ideally with prior experience of grant management and reporting.
  • Self-motivated - able to manage their own work programme and administration in accordance with the organisations policies and procedures, to be effective from day one.
