The Role

As the company establishes itself as the UK's uppermost platform for alternative finance, you would be tasked with building a profitable regional field sales teams to expand the company's influence in the following areas: working capital, asset finance and commercial property finance.

You would manage this team remotely either from the company's London office, or for the right candidate, you could be based remotely elsewhere.

The Company

The company is an early-mid growth start-up that saw the problems that SMEs and small businesses had in finding affordable, suitable sources of financing, whatever their objectives. Essentially, instead of going to big banks unwilling to lend, why can't companies find financing online like people search for holidays and car insurance?

The company is partnered with the governement, who have introduced a scheme that automatically refers SMEs that have had their finance applications to big banks turned down, meaning this company gets access to inbound requests worth £4.5 billion per year. The company is going from strength to strength with its 2016 revenues growing six-fold from 2015.

Using financial technology combined with an expert team of Account Managers, the firm has helped thousands of SMEs to find financing. In terms of lenders, they have a range of options from auction markets places, venture capital, challenger banks, asset managers and even larger high street banks themselves.

The company is now partnered up with government on its lucrative Bank Referral Scheme whereby the banks are mandated to refer all rejected commercial loans onto them.

Requirements

  • Experience of successfully selling to SMEs.
  • Tangible experience of having built successful field sales teams.
  • The ability to travel and maintain a strong level of communication, managing remotely, most likely from London.

The Package

The package comprises of a strong basic salary ranging broadly from £50,000 - £80,000 depending on the candidate. In addition there is a very generous commission scheme in place + equity.
