THE COMPANY

We are recruiting aquatic entrepreneurs for a leading leisure brand who is one of the biggest suppliers of swimming lessons and training in the UK. Endorsed by leading 'swimming academics’ this brand partners with health clubs, hotels, schools and leisure centres to offer a pioneering approach and tailored programs to suit various ages and abilities.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for aquatic entrepreneurs with a passion for swimming in all its facets, commercial acumen and a dynamic leadership style. Local Swimming Managers (LSMs) will be at the forefront of my client’s aspiration to deliver an exceptional swimming experience to students.

LSMs will have full trading accountability for their business and therefore must be fully engaged with my client’s philosophy and the central support team.

Core expectations include:

  • To line manage, mentor and develop an exceptional team of swimming instructors.
  • To build close and mutually beneficial relationships with all stakeholders including and in particular venue clients (pool owners/operators)
  • To build close and constructive relationships with students and parents.
  • To build close local community relationships with mutually beneficial partners and seek growth opportunities via strong local knowledge and connections.
  • To seek out opportunities to locally grow and diversify the brand.
  • To act as the primary point of contact for local queries in line with company standards.
  • To both generate and convert leads locally in liaison with, and with support from, appropriate head office personnel.
  • Input into the planning and effective delivery of local PR, marketing & re-enrolment campaigns.
  • Deliver, when appropriate, lessons and coaching within the context of a zero-tolerance approach to avoidable lesson cancellations.
  • Highlight recruitment needs for the business and oversee local recruitment, development and retention of 'world class’ instructors.[e1]
  • Full accountability for the overall territory P&L in combination with regular and accurate forecasting.
  • Adhere to and monitor H&S compliance standards across the territory

Experience within swimming and within the leisure industry is essential.
