Luxury Homeware Assistant Buyer

I'm looking for extremely well presented, articulate, confident individuals to join my clients premium luxury brand, working as an assistant buyer based at their head office in leafy South West London.

Founded in 1990, my client is the UK and Ireland's leading and longest established independent wedding list provider. Operating from multiple locations with showrooms in Chelsea, central London, Edinburgh and Dublin as well as online. The family owned business is experiencing a very exciting period of rapid growth, with its wedding list registry increasing by 300% in the last year.

Key responsibilities of this role:

Provide vital support to the buying team in all aspects of their role. This will be mainly with the administration around the buying activity including:

Updating the systems in place for our online business, stock management, etc

Monitoring competitors

Support with new lines and manage logistics and administration of sample requests, including organising deliveries

Assisting with stock takes for consignment stock and sample inventory in each showroom

Gradually, the role will also include helping the Buying team in its key task of finding, sourcing and negotiating with new brands that expand, refresh and deepen our offering to customers to keep it best in class and suitable for different tastes, lifestyles and budgets.

What you need…

2 years minimum experience working with luxury homeware brands. Excellent organisational skills. Must be able to work with Excel. Attention to detail. Brilliant communication skills. A Drive and motivation to learn. An interest in interior products. Good initiative and able to work independently and as part of a team.
