A high-profile opportunity exists for a CIPS Part Qualified or Qualified individual to undertake a Senior Category Buyer role. Supporting Global Procurement Strategy, your brief includes:
•Delivering strategic & tactical sourcing across indirect categories for corporate business units
•Acting as a "go to expert" for an assigned segment in the global category
•Supporting development & execution of global category strategies
•Driving a full end to end sourcing process including market analysis, execution of tenders, negotiation, contracting & contract management activities on significant spend category areas
•Working with internal & external stakeholders ensuring Value for Money
•Supporting delivery of robust commercial & contractual terms to support expenditure control
•Delivering cost savings against agreed sourcing strategies
•Performance management of strategic suppliers by developing service level agreements & key performance indicators
As a CIPS part qualified or qualified individual, you will demonstrate significant purchasing and cost reduction delivery experience, evidence of sourcing and contract managing categories including HR, Marketing, Audit, Learning & Development, Facilities Management & IT and ideally exposure to Oracle or Purchase to Pay systems. The role demands a strong commercial focus, the gravitas to
influence key stakeholders and the ability to add value.
