Rutherford Briant are recruiting for a Senior FP&A Business Partner in London. The role’s purpose is primarily to support the CFO, Head of Commercial Sales and CEO in facilitating the business growth agenda and driving efficiency. The successful candidate will be an agent for change and a true commercial sounding board providing insight and objective advice on the financials and the performance of the business. They will have a point of view beyond Finance. The candidate will have leadership of the FP&A and Commercial Operations team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the planning, budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring a cohesive planning cycle which informs and challenges the business in making key strategic decisions
  • Accountable for all key financial performance reporting which provide review, challenge and interpretation of all material variances against plan, budget, forecast and prior year
  • Have a good understanding of the drivers of a SaaS business model and drivers of Revenues and correlation between delivery and capacity
  • Support any key initiatives by developing the appropriate financial insights and challenge. Have the ability to step back from the detail and provide financial support on new initiatives
  • Challenge the business on validity of expense requirements and implementation of contingency plans in the event of not delivering the budget
  • Ensure continual improvement to the ownership of the forecast by functional leads and key stakeholders as required - hold weekly/monthly meetings with Sales/Solution Delivery/Client Management Team/HR
  • Preparation for quarterly Operational Reviews with the business and any Ad hoc reporting
  • Relationship building across all divisional owners and the Finance team
  • Manage the Commercials Operations team and drive:

o Interim pricing framework to work with the business;

o Strategic pricing addressed for the joint deals and actions vs. competition in the market;

o Review product structure for operational efficiency opportunities;

o Improve governance on pricing (and service schedules)

o Enforce Forecasting discipline on Booking

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified and have at least 7 years post qualification experience. You will be commercially rounded and possess a point of view beyond finance. This role also requires the successful candidate to be decisive and the ability to deliver in a fast paced and demanding environment.
