Social Media & PR Manager - Premier UK Brand - Job Summary

Our client is an award winning premier brand looking to build upon their continued growth over the last few years. They have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Social Media & PR Manager to join their team. Heavily weighted towards social media but with exciting PR opportunities as well, the purpose of this role is to encourage sales growth through increased brand awareness and "brand buzz" via an effective PR and social media presence.

PLEASE NOTE: This role is a 3 month temporary contract highly likely to go to permanent.

Social Media & PR Manager - Premier UK Brand - Role Responsibility

Social Media

  • To own the delivery of social media monthly content plans
  • To use social media to amplify key brand messages and drive awareness, trial and brand advocacy
  • To grow effectiveness of social channels including fans/followers and engagement through creation and delivery of great content and engaging activity
  • To ensure all feedback is responded in a timely manner and passed along to the appropriate person as needed
  • To provide monthly reporting on effectiveness of activities at hitting agreed KPI's
  • To liaise with external agencies for development and delivery of assets and content as needed


  • To own the day to day management of the PR agency including ensuring activity is delivered to on time and to the required standard
  • To support company events with PR activity
  • To liaise with the internal PR team on a regular basis to ensure activity is cohesive
  • To develop and maintain 3rd party partnerships as appropriate and required


  • To have outstanding communication skills
  • To balance creativity and commercial effectiveness
  • To ensure all projects run smoothly, with the team well informed of objectives, roles and responsibilities, timings and progress
  • To be able to think commercially and work with and interpret numbers, charts and graphs
  • To keep up to date on competitive activity across comms channels
  • To keep all paperwork and electronic files up to date and in perfect and accurate order

Social Media & PR Manager - Premier UK Brand - The Ideal Candidate

  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role
  • Marketing degree preferred
  • Experience in a similar role at a premier brand is preferred
  • To always show a positive approach to the job role
  • To communicate at all levels in a positive and professional manner
  • To take ownership for all tasks, duties and responsibilities assigned to you, ensuring they are completed on time and to the required standard
  • To be proactive in planning ahead and to assist in devising both long and short term strategies for both yourself and your team
  • To ensure effective communication of company philosophies and business objectives within the job role
  • To be proactive in solving problems as they occur
