Global Insurance Company currently seeks a Scrum Master / Development Project Manager to play a key role in the delivery and enhancement of a range of web based services for an innovative insurance brokerage/placement platform.

The role is primarily focussed on Agile/Scrum and as such you will act at the Scrum Master. We are able to consider Development Project Managers who are looking to move into a more purist Agile/Scrum position and take on the title of Scrum Master.

As the Scrum Master you will facilitate the main Scrum ceremonies (Sprint planning, daily standups, sprint demos and retrospectives etc), help the product owner(s) to develop and maintain a well refined product backlog and work to engender cross-team coordination, where applicable. There will also be an element of management, coaching, development and day-to-day leadership of a small team of developers working to deliver solutions based on Java, Groovy and Grails.

We are searching for a Scrum Master / Development Project Manager who has ideally been working within the Insurance / Reinsurance arena although this is non-essential. You will possess in-depth knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes and be able to apply these to the Rapid Application Development environment. Any exposure to Grails based applications (Groovy, Java etc) would be beneficial although non-essential. Your experience of applying Agile/Scrum methods to the teams to deliver enhancements to development processes and ultimately define the way in which the product(s) are delivered will form the main focus of the role. You will champion Agile/Scrum techniques within this already well-establish Agile house and further its use to the benefit of the business.

This is an excellent role for a progressive, dynamic corporation operating from within a brand-new City of London office with a global presence working on a number of projects.

Very stable environment, excellent opportunity for career development.
