We are seeking a well-motivated and enthusiastic person to work within our busy school Finance office, to support the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities will include:

* Purchase order processing & stock control

* Processing purchase ledger invoices, payment runs and supplier queries

* Raising invoices, credit control and posting income received

* Petty cash & banking

* Maintaining schools cashless payment system & dealing with queries

* Monthly Reconciliations

* Reporting to the Finance Manager to deliver an effective and efficient financial service to the school as well as assisting the Business Manager with ad hoc financial project work

Knowledge & Skills:

* Proven experience of using Financial system - Sage 200 an advantage

* Excellent Excel skills & high level of computer literacy

* Ability to understand, analyse & interpret financial information

* Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

* Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team

* Be able to communicate with staff, students and parents in a professional and diplomatic manner

* Effectively prioritise workload in a busy environment

* Calm & professional manner & work well under pressure

This is a full time position for 37 hours per week, term time only plus 5 weeks holiday working. Hours 8.30am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30am-4pm Friday
