The London Bridge Hospital campus in South East London encompasses an outpatients and diagnostic centre in The Shard, the large world-class hospital based at the Tooley Street site, and a further five outpatient and diagnostic centres across the City, Canary Wharf and Kent.
In May 2017 we welcomed the newest addition to our campus into the top four floors of the new Cancer Centre at Guy's. With £38.2 million investment and 60,000 square feet this purpose built facility allows London Bridge Hospital to house its cancer services in one roof. Consultants from London's top teaching hospitals will offer full surgical provision in urology, gynaecology and breast, as well as reconstructive surgery for these specialties. The hospital will partner with Leaders in Oncology (LOC) across chemotherapy, outpatient oncology and haematology.
London Bridge Hospital achieved an 'Outstanding' accreditation by the healthcare regulators Care Quality Commission in 2017, with them remarking that they saw innovative practice throughout the hospital including new research taking place, and the Critical care Unit was also praised. Consultants and staff were highly motivated individuals, and all committed to providing high quality patient centred care.
As a Room Service Waiter you will help to provide an exceptional service to patients, visitors, consultants and staff whilst adhering to the highest standards of food safety and personal conduct. Overseeing the delivery of food to patient rooms, you will promote excellent customer service and be on hand for any requests from our patients and families.
This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week
The attractive and competitive salary for this role is £17,409 - £18,952 and will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Delivery of food to patients, visitors, consultants and staff
- Using the Micros catering ordering system for taking the patients orders, giving help and advice where necessary to patients on the menu
- Provide an efficient and effective service to customers, understanding their needs and requirements, working to exceed these wherever possible and demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Prepare food trays and collect used trays within 1 hour of service
- Provide assistance to customers should an incident occur, seeking guidance in line with company policies
- Maintain housekeeping standards
- Assist in the staff restaurant as requested by the Manager/Supervisor
- Communicate special requests to the kitchen
- Comply with Dietetic Communication Sheet
Skills & Experience
You will have previous experience of working in a similar role within a 5* hotel or hospital environment. Having a good understanding of H&S principles, you will ideally holding relevant training or qualification in catering and experience of provide excellent customer service.
