The Royal British Legion is looking for a Commemorative Events Support Officer to join its Commemorative Events Team (CET).

The CET is responsible for national level, one off, large scale events to mark significant anniversaries or moments within the history of the Armed Forces. The CET work closely with external partners such as the Ministry of Defence and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport to plan and deliver events such as Victory over Japan Day 70 and Somme 100. Upcoming events the team will provide support to include: RAF100 and D Day 75.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that the Commemorative Events Lead is fully supported in all aspects of their work. You will be required to provide administrative support in the daily tasks generated within all related Legion event activity, in particular in respect of diary and meeting organisation, drafting correspondence and document management. In addition, you will also assist in the development of project proposals, event plans, organisation and activity reporting.

This role is fixed-term until December 2020.
