This is a perfect role for either a Senior marketing exec who has managed/mentored a marketing exec/assistant or a current Marketing Manager who loves autonomy with their role and their budgets! This is an exciting time to join the team as a Marketing Manager who will manage their own marketing strategy for a flagship portfolio of events.

You will be responsible for managing a Marketing Executive, and as a team, you will be dedicated to delivering on the key event objectives and leading on audience development through the content site. You must have excellent communications skills and the confidence to deal and build up Stakeholder relationships, as you will be working with important external partners for all events and will need to be able to work with and influence people from all levels.

Main requirements of role:

  • Marketing Strategy & Campaign Management: strategic development of year-round audience marketing campaigns, and managing the campaign execution across multiple channels by the marketing team. Channels include: email, social, PPC, mobile apps, telemarketing, direct mail, web, SEO, content marketing.
  • Line Management: manage, monitor and develop a marketing exec, identifying training needs and encouraging development and growth
  • Market Research and Audience Insight: work with the Customer Insight team to devise year-round insight programmes and manage their implementation either through external research agencies or in-house; analysis of insight findings to determine marketing strategy
  • Data Strategy: database development and management, and devising a data acquisition and re-engagement strategy
  • Analytics & Reporting: using a range of analytics tools to analyse campaigns and website trends, ensuring that all channels are being tracked accurately
  • Budget Management: maintain accurate budgets, reports, analysis and documentation
  • Partnership building: developing relationships with key event partners - associations, exhibitors and media
  • Supplier Management: liaising with external suppliers including designers, website agencies, database and registration companies to ensure campaigns are delivered to agreed deadlines and budgets
  • Registration Management: manage and oversee registration and onsite duties across all the events
  • Websites Management: managing development, design and content of product websites

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 4 years of proven marketing experience
  • Ability to translate business objectives into marketing strategy and plans
  • Analysis and reporting skills - able to report and present trends on marketing performance to the wider team
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing skills and channels, such as SEM, social and email marketing
  • Working knowledge of online analytics programmes
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Marketing automation knowledge (good to have Eloqua/Marketo but not essential)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Analytics/Google Analytics
  • Content marketing experience ideally
  • Experience of running inbound campaigns ideally
