Person Specification

The school are looking for a compassionate graduate who will arrive eager to gain valuable classroom experience and looking to take on responsibility and eventually train to become a teacher. The school wants graduates who can support pupils who have mild to moderate learning difficulties and generally need a lot of support to meet their learning goals. This means being able to remain calm and collected when communicating ideas to a small group of children with additional learning needs.

About the Role

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant you will work with pupils on a 1:1 basis, helping them to develop their social, emotional and developmental understanding of school. You will be expected to work in with a variety of students on an ad hoc basis, helping the whole class progress at the same behind. As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant at the school will be assisting the teaching and learning specifically within a smart Year 1 class of 10 pupils
