The Primary Teaching Assistant Role
This Primary Teaching Assistant role is varied and will offer you a lot of Primary exposure. First and foremost, it involves you supporting the superb teaching team across a whole host of age groups (predominantly KS1 and KS2). In this post you will be working across many different areas and observing lots of different teaching styles and approaches, and this will undoubtedly help you in your own personal development as a Primary Teaching Assistant. You will be helping the teacher to manage the differentiation of abilities within the class, offering an avenue of individual and group sessions for particular pupils as within each class there is quite a wide gap between the highest and lowest achieving students. As a member of the team you will have unlimited access to the same facilities as the teachers, which include an onsite PPA Room, bright, airy classrooms, interactive whiteboards, and even a large outdoor learning space! The senior leadership team is where the school really comes in to its own, with a dedicated Head Teacher and two very skilled and very experienced Deputy Heads on site to help support and aid your development as a Primary Teaching Assistant!
