Web Development Manager - £65,000 18 month Fixed term initially Norfolk
Our exclusive high-profile client in Norfolk are looking to bring on-board a new web development manager - initially for an 18-month fixed term contract. You will join a well-known organization in the area, taking on the leadership and strategy for a team of circa 30 developers spread across multiple sites.
The business has gone through a period of organizational change, helping to alter the way they work for a far more effective team, and vastly increased output of work. As a result, the position is less of a drastic change piece, but more of a nurturing, and honing role, that requires a certain sensitivity and appreciation for the changes the team have been through.
The successful candidate will lead and inspire a team of front and back-end developers, working with both internal and external resources to deliver continuous improvement and innovation to websites, systems, reports and analytics for the international brand. Areas to be mindful of during the process include - time to market, agility, repeatability, maintainability, quality and security.
As part of the senior management team, you will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels, and will be required to maintain and enhance relationships across all business units to succeed, and continue to strengthen the relationship between the business and IT development.
Ideal traits and experiences for the role include:
- ITIL principals of service delivery.
- Software delivery methods Scrum, Prince II etc.
- Team Leadership.
- Workflow management and estimations.
- Delivery of software and web development projects.
- Live support and maintenance.
- Full Software development lifecycle exposure.
- Experience working with the architectural team on technical roadmaps.
- Management of multiple concurrent workstreams and deliverables.
- E-commerce exposure.
- Commercial acumen.

The role forms a critical part of the organizational structure and will be an integral part of the overall success of the business.
