My client is looking for a Senior Support Worker to join a friendly team providing support to support users with learning disabilities who may display challenging behaviour. You will be joining a family orientated organisation with excellent career progression - my client promotes internally and offers specialist training to team members, offering an opportunity to work towards long-term and highly awarding career.
Your new role
As a senior support worker you will be guided by higher management, but you will be expected to 'lead' shifts independently. Key duties can include record keeping in accordance with legislation and regulations, administration and recording of medication and leading on specialist support techniques. The Senior Support worker will also be required to provide guidance and leadership to less experienced members of the team. You will work 37.5 hours per week and work a mixture of days, nights and sleep ins and be on-call for any house emergencies.
What you'll need to succeed
To be suitable for this work you will need to:
- Hold NVQ Level 2 in Social Care as a minimum, preferably Level 3
- Have experience with providing support to service users with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour for preferably over 18 months
