An opportunity as an Assessor for Carpentry and Joinery in a Suffolk College has arisen due to the expansion of the apprenticeship Levi.

The college is looking for a candidate with extensive industry experience or recent experience in the relevant vocational environment.   

You will be required to recruit, train, assess, and guide learners on apprenticeships and employer engagement programs, working alongside the employer to support the learner throughout their qualification.

You will need relevant experience in the carpentry industry and at least have a level 3 award in carpentry and joinery. A car will be essential as you will need to travel to learners to work with them. 

Their ideal Candidate will be working 35 hours a week at £29,251 which is a market forces of £4,000 per Annam.

20 days per Annam rising one day per year worked to a of 25 days per Annam pro-rata, plus Bank Holidays and Christmas closure days

• Level 3 qualification in Site Carpentry/Bench Joinery or equivalent

• Level 2 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent (GCSE Maths and English grade C)

• Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (QCF)/A1 Assessor Award
(D32, D33, TQA) or a commitment to achieving within a specified time-frame.

• Health and Safety qualification or commitment to achieving within a specified time-frame

• A driving licence with access to a vehicle or other method of transport*
