Reed Education Plymouth are currently working with a great school on an exciting new role in the Launceston area, for a Secondary Geography Teacher. To start in September, the school are looking for an outstanding Teacher of Geography to join them on a full time, permanent basis.

Whether you are an experienced Geography Teacher looking for your next challenge, or a Newly Qualified Geography Teacher wanting to secure your first permanent position, this could be the role for you!

The Role:

• Following the National Curriculum, teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• You will have full teaching responsibilities, including, planning, marking and assessment.
• You will benefit from working with an experienced and supportive team, and the students are enthusiastic and keen to learn.
• The school have a well-resourced Humanities department and have fantastic CPD opportunities to ensure you can develop in all areas as a teacher.
• The students have attained brilliant GCSE results, particularly in the last year with over 80% achieving A* – C.

What you will need:

• UK Qualified Teacher Status in Secondary Geography.
• You should be an excellent classroom teacher with the ability to plan, prepare and teach creative and stimulating lessons.
• Passion for your subject and the motivation and commitment to engage your students in their learning.
• Ability to create a supportive and well-ordered learning environment.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
