The position of Media Specialist is pivotal for my client as they demonstrate continuous growth. You will be required to promote and create exposure around the organisations brand, using numerous types of channels.
My client is the thought-leader within its field world-wide. They are very highly regarded and come with a superb industry reputation, both UK and globally.
The organisation are very dynamic and offer various products and services. These can include qualifications, online learning products, CPD courses, events, seminars, magazines and industry leading thought-leadership pieces. They also do a lot of work with trade, local, national and international media outlets.
The organisation are performing well, and because of this are expanding several departments. The organisation have some exciting new aims and goals that will encompass several departments to work together on wider company ambitions. The team and wider-organisation have a new strategy in place to reach out to the wider public through as many channels as possible.
The main aim of this position is to create exposure through press/media channels such as newspapers, TV, press enquiries, and magazines/trade journals etc. The organisation want to ensure that they are quick to react to industry queries and/or events to keep stakeholders and non-members in the loop with proceedings and the associations' stance on certain topic areas.
The ideal Media Specialist will be someone that takes real pride in their work - ideally my client want someone further down the line that can be that industry expert, and be quick to guide and advise stakeholder groups.
You will have experience maximising channel usage to gain exposure for previous organisations/topic areas/products etc.
You will be required to work with the head of the department on strategy and bringing ideas of how to keep the organisation performing in the most effective way.
The successful candidate will act as the first point of press enquiries - producing quick responses and statements where possible.
You will ideally have a press/media qualification and/or journalism degree
The successful Media Specialist must have experience in and/or knowledge of the financial services sector.
This is a permanent position for a commercial Not for Profit and Charities organisation based in London and is paying up to £45,000 with a generous benefits package on top.
