Finance Business Partner

[£50,000 - £55,000 + 10% NCP + 26 days holiday + Healthcare +Life Cover]

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well rounded commercial finance professional to manage a small, experienced team. The role sits within a highly respected organisation and has wide reaching responsibility for providing comprehensive financial management of the expenditure approval process. The nature / impact of these applications is significant hence information and analysis needs to be assimilated from a variety of sources. Whilst the organisation itself is an SME it is closely affiliated with a substantial operation which has relevance to this position.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing a detailed annual Budget / Forecast for the year based on information from a variety of sources
  • Detailed monthly reporting, analysis and commentary against Budget / Forecast
  • Monthly briefings on key results / issues
  • Quarterly review / re-forecast
  • Input into the annual report and accounts
  • Leadership of a small MI team
  • Reacting to and assessing the impact of a breadth of external factors
  • Interface and management of external partners and suppliers
  • Broad interface with all levels including the Board
  • Identify and recommend improvements to processes and systems
  • A variety of other related responsibilities

The successful candidate will like possess the following attributes:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent)
  • Strong business partnering experience in particular outside of finance
  • Expertise in decision support / business case construction / other analyses
  • Clarity of communication - able to inspire confidence
  • Strong IT skills in particular advanced Excel
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Pro-active, continuous improvement mindset
  • Leads by example
