Mitel / Avaya / Unify Field Engineer

Location: London Home Counties                    

Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 neg + great benefits, company car, overtime

I am currently recruiting for a well established Telecommunication Company who is looking for a Senior Field Engineer to report directly to the Installations Manager and Service manager in all aspects of installations and maintenance. As well as this the ideal candidate will be required to assist on general matters and diagnostics through a manned Tech Desk from time to time. On call is included within this role and the candidate would have to be open to covering extended hours on a rotational basis.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Ensuring customer service is delivered to the highest standard
- To carry out installations and maintenance work to customer telephony y solution, ensuring everything  done is with the customer as central focus
- Be fully aware of their work load and help assist in managing the solutions they are involved in
- Be completely aware of their weekly diary and be equipped to carry out all tasks fully
- Ensuring open communication is kept with other engineers and colleagues at all times
- Listening to the customer and plan how to deliver the solution in a polite, courteous and most efficient manner
- Ensure all jobs sheets are complete and signed off by the customer, emailed to the admin/service team immediately in order for the job to be closed, invoiced where needed and called next day for verification
- Call in all complete jobs promptly so the team can assess and allocate the next job as necessary
- Keep accreditations up to date
- Contribute in quarterly meetings
- Ability to work from home time to time
- Over night stays and UK travel may be required from time to time

Skills Required:

- Excellent grounding and industry knowledge throughout the telecommunications sector with a good understanding of IP technologies and topologies with a in-depth knowledge of VoIP Telephony
- Must be able to interact with customers and other members of staff confidently
- Good ability to communicate complex issues at all levels
- The holder of this position must possess excellent verbal and written communication skill with attention to detail and working as part of a team with a common goal being key attributes in assisting the company to succeed in the delivery of complex voice solutions

Qualification and Experience:

- Up to date manufacturer accreditation on at least one of the following products as minimum

- UC+
- Hosted
- Siemens/Unify
- Mitel/Xarios Phone Manager
- CSM, MiCollab, MBG etc.
- Avaya IP500/IP Office
- MiVoice Office 250/5000
- Minimum of 3 years field engineers experience, installing and maintenance of complex voice solutions in a different environments
- Ability to problem solve in a logical manner
- Great working knowledge and capability of understanding customer LAN/WAN infrastructures and ability to assist in the design, delivery and support of voice applications using these technologies
- The will to drive to learn and work with new technologies and products as required.
