A high-growth, niche, ecommerce start-up is looking for an entrepreneurial Sales Director with huge potential, to come in and lead the business on all revenue generating activity. With global ambitions and a good runway ahead, the CEO and Co-Founder would like to find someone with the appetite to take the business to the next level and open up a completely new channel of wholesale partnerships.

Your main responsibility will be building a best-in-class B2B function, supported by a robust and agile infrastructure with seamless processes and a high-performing team to ensure consistent pipelines and growth across the wholesale business. You will be working closely with the founders and team to develop and implement a strategic plan and structure to promote future growth and retention. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader with expertise scaling a fast-growing and disruptive business, who thrives on owning and delivering ambitious business growth objectives.

As a Sales Director you will:

• Develop the teams pipeline by developing and executing effective outbound / inbound / marketing strategies.
• Develop effective strategic partnerships?to exploit and identify new and existing opportunities.
• Help develop and refine the proposition and go to market strategy through effective research and customer development.
• Build a world class team and imbed a culture which continues to motivate and drive results.
• Liaise with colleagues to effectively listen to client needs, manage client expectations and ensure successful, sustainable adoption of our product.
• Manage key customer relationships and partnerships and actively developing new business opportunities.
• Break down the sales effort into a defined process and cycle and then working with the team to constantly improve this.
• Conduct regular reviews and being a mentor - assisting with work allocation, problem-solving, performance evaluation and coaching.
• Act as a role model for the business ensuring the distinct brand positioning is reflected in all activity whilst setting the pace and tone of the business.
• Translate the strategy into short, medium and long term business and tactical plans, ensuring the business achieves its sales, ROI and margin objectives.
• Ensure an effective commercial structure, the right team and appropriate systems and data are in place.

This is an ideal next step for an aspiring Commercial Director with impressive management skills and an aptitude for working, building and mentoring a scaling team as well as others within the business and providing stable commercial leadership.

You will ideally have the following skills and experience:

• Previous B2B experience selling into SME's and Enterprise clients, with serious success.
• Experience building and shaping a best practise B2B function and team to support and drive growth revenue targets across new and existing partnerships.
• Hands-on approach to tackling tactical and strategic activities and a proven track record of delivering on or exceeding revenue goals.
• Experience in structuring and negotiating deals (including strategic long-term partnerships) for a digital company or deals where an online and offline component and revenue was central.
• Hungry to close deals.
• Ability to significantly reduce the sales cycle time.
• Highly systematic approach to sales and be able to quickly form and explain a process.
• Collaborative demeanour – you are an influencer with gravitas and resilience .
• Driven individual, motivated by achieving outstanding results.
• Good financial acumen.
• Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Ability to respond to change, and being able to adapt accordingly to changing circumstances and having the bravery to make key decisions and to back them up.
