For this post, you must be an enthusiastic, personable and intelligent graduate who has a genuine passion for helping those with speech & language difficulties and/or learning difficulties. To be successful in this role you will need to be an effective communicator and work well on your own as well as in a team. The school want to meet graduate who can inspire those around them and evidence a desire to contribute in extra-curricular activities.
About the Speech & Language Assistant Role
In this Speech & Language Assistant position you will be supporting classes across Key Stage 2 as and where needed. Responsibilities will include carrying out intervention workshops alongside a qualified Speech & Language Therapist as well as being involved in all aspects of classroom preparation. In general, you will be learning the ropes from a supportive SENCO who will be on hand to help you settle into the role and school. You will be considered crucial to pre-lesson preparation and your ideas will be vital for the development of new lessons plans and work schemes.
