Babcock International Group is currently looking to appoint an IEC or HVP or MD instructor based in London with the requirement to travel within London and its localities to other Babcock or customer training sites.

Babcock is contracted to deliver over 200 different training courses to the London Fire Brigade totalling some 4,000 individual classes each year. Courses are delivered across multiple locations both within London and at specialist venues outside of the M25. Babcock is responsible for the scheduling and supply of trainers, equipment and venues.

Purpose of role is to effectively and professionally deliver the Specialist Skills training programme

Major Tasks and Activities:

• Ensure the effective delivery of Specialist Skills Training in accordance with the SoTR Training Delivery Programme
• Complete appropriate competency records and paperwork for LFB staff attending transport training courses
• Ensure a safe system of work is maintained throughout effective training delivery
• Provide Subject Matter Expertise with regard to future development of Specialist Skills training for emergency services.
Key Technical Skills

• Comprehensive technical knowledge of Emergency Services Specialist IEC and/or HVP and/or MD Training
• Experience of delivering training to Fire or other emergency services
• Understanding of the requirements for development and maintenance of trainer competence


• Approved IEC trainer or equivalent or HVPi or MDi with a fire service
• Hold a current Driving Licence


• PTTLS, AET or equivalent teaching qualification
• IOSH Health and Safety
• Current HGV2

Role Information

£32,655 -£35,655 depending on qualifications and experience
Full Time, Permanent (including weekend working)
37.5 hours
25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
