This is a key role in the innovation team - as Technical Bids & Proposal Writer you will research and identify new technologies then present these arguments in concise RtT's, technical bids & proposals to win highly competitive major research contracts. The successful proposals will generate significant R&D funding from a variety of domestic and international funding bodies and will enable further creative innovation and growth within this world leading company.

The Company

The Glasgow office of this award-winning Laser Technology company are growing. The company research, design and manufacture state-of-the-art lasers for a global client base. Their laser technology has a myriad of applications from medical therapies through scientific research and industrial manufacturing . They invest heavily in R&D and have won a variety of awards for their contribution in innovation. To be considered for the role of Technical Proposals Writer you need the following:

* A PhD (Doctorate / DPhil / EngD ) in a Scientific Discipline ( Physics / Electronics Engineering / Chemistry etc)

Experience of

* Relevant applications such as scientific instrumentation -ideally Photonics, Optics or Lasers
* A track record of securing finding for R&D projects
* Excellent communication and technical writing capabilities
* Ideally, previous experience with research agencies such as EPSRC, European Commission and Innovate UK / Technology strategy board.
* Prior experience of working in a multi-stakeholder environment
