Peopleforce International are delighted to be helping our client look for a Group Sales Manager who will be responsible for the following:

Selling by phone and face to face to current and new business customers to meet sales revenue targets, selling exhibition space and high value sponsorship on the designated events
Following sales strategies and initiatives to ensure the ongoing growth of the events
Working closely with the show team to maximize sales opportunities and promotion
Build relationships and contacts with new accounts to create new revenue opportunities from untapped sectors.
Attend weekly sales meetings with the project teams
Continuously developing market and product knowledge
Following up campaigns via telephone and email
Attending competitive events and industry trade shows for business development
Ensure that all commercial and contractual agreements are in-line with agreed company policy;

SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS

Previous experience as a successful Sales Executive in a specialist industry
Proven experience of delivering results, building and maintaining business relationships while constantly developing sales strategies and initiatives to ensure the ongoing growth of the event
Demonstrable knowledge of the sales process
Demonstrates effective active listening and communication skills
Ability to meet and exceed productivity targets
Good organisational and time management skills
Ability to negotiate and build rapport effectively
Strong objection avoidance and objection handling skills
Be able to build trust and credibility amongst our potential customer base. Customer focused
Demonstrate ability to take ownership of tasks and to problem-solve quickly Exceptional organisational & time management skills
