Due to the continued growth and expansion of our group, we have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Sales Executive based in our London office.

The role will be responsible for managing, developing and increasing sales and profit contribution in existing and new customers within your area as well as ensuring sales targets and company KPI's are met in line with the Company's pre-determined strategy.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years Internal Sales experience, preferably with a food and beverage background although we are open to background from any industry. We want someone who is keen to progress in their sales career and develop new skills, the candidate will be hungry and motivated by money and able to provide an excellent service.

This role offers brilliant progression opportunities leading into Field Sales based role. The role will be predominantly outbound B2B calls with the aim of building sales in low spending accounts. Once accounts are up trading and targets have been achieved you will be expected to gain new business to develop a pipeline that ensures we continually emerging as the number 1 supplier to the bakery industry.

The role:

* Shape and maintain all-encompassing customer and business relationships.
* Ability to manage a £1 million + sales budget
* Overseeing a growing customer base of 500 +
* Impeccable time management skills and the aptitude to be flexible with working hours in line with business requirements.
* Evaluating and understanding the market place and required customer business development.
* Contacting and liaising with suppliers to ensure product knowledge is maintained and reviewed. Internal departments to ensure the free flow of customer, market and product information.
* Establishing and maintaining accurate customer records including individual product profiles, promotional calendars, customer database and pricing files.
* Planning and executing sales opportunities within new market sectors and strategize sales penetration opportunities.
* To act as an ambassador for BAKO South Eastern, seeking and promoting the company services.
* Advising customers of current and future Company promotional activity, new product launches and accreditation/certification requirements.

The successful applicant will have:

* Food service or food manufacturing operation knowledge (Preferred)
* Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service
* Strong analytical skills
* Sales experience
* Strong negotiation skills
* Determination to overcome objections and close deals
* Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficient)
* Excellent communication skills
* A confident and assertive manner

Essential Criteria:

* A professional, but friendly telephone manner to promote the company and its products, with existing and potential customers.
* The use of computers and IT will feature heavily in your day-to-day tasks. Previous experience as a computer user is required.

Desirable Criteria:

* Previous Telesales and/or Customer Services experience would be beneficial.
