Implementation Specialist / Technical Infrastructure Project Manager

Marcus Donald are currently looking for an implementation specialist. You will be working within an implementation team and will be technically accountable for the delivery of multiple projects. You will be working in a team of 4 (2 Implementation Technical Specialist, an Implementation Manager, and a Project Manager), there will be an absolute focus on delivering technical project work across different schools.

The right person will have a very strong hands-on technical background and will be key in the researching, proposing, design, implementation, and testing of new services. 

We are looking for someone that has already had an Enhanced CRB Check done.

Job Purpose:
- Consult on, design and implement IT solutions 
- Responsible for understanding requirements, researching, proposing and testing solutions
- Ensure a resilient platform is available and handed over to the Infrastructure & Schools Support Team with fall back systems in place

Technical Skillset Required:
- WAN/LAN connections
- Active Directory configurations
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft server product suite
- Office 365
- Cloud based platforms
- Apple (MacOS, IOS)
- WLAN (wifi)
- Firewall and internet security systems
- SCCM
- Server and SAN hardware

Advantageous Skillset:
- Google for Education
- Apple Education
- SIMS

Key Responsibilities:
- Take a leading technical role in systems development projects, both within systems design and in interfaces with other stages of development
- Evaluate and undertake impact analysis on major design options
- Work closely with the Implementation Manager and Project Manager to create detailed plans to deliver relevant developments in a timely manner to ITIL/PRINCE2 methodologies
- In consultation with relevant subject matter experts (and taking account of enterprise and solutions architectures) agree to appropriate design standards, methods, and tools and ensures they are applied effectively
- Monitor technical progress, informing project management of major technical issues and making recommendations on their resolution
- Responsible for the go-live phase of projects, including ensuring end-users have received necessary training
