I am currently recruiting on behalf of the world’s leading tourist attraction and theme park companies as they look to add an experienced Electrical Engineer to one of their UK sites. My client has award-winning attractions in Las Vegas, New York City, Lake Garda and Sydney as well as several attractions here in the UK. The successful candidate will join a large team of 30 engineers maintaining this extraordinary site – you will be required to work Monday to Friday, 1 in 3 weekends during the summer and be rewarded with a base salary of £34,200.

The successful engineer will ideally come from an industrial or production background and have experience of dealing with heavy machinery ranging from pneumatics, hydraulics, air compressors and PLCs. As you can imagine working in an environment such as a theme park you will need a strong technical background as rides need to maintained and fixed in minimal time so that the park can run at efficiently. Last year this specific site ran at 97.8% which was the highest of the European sites.

My client is looking to bring on an experienced electrically bias engineer to help not only maintain basic electrical equipment round the theme park but also maintaining the one-of-a-kind rollercoaster’s that litter to park from entrance to exit. This is a fantastic chance for an engineer who’s looking to move client side and secure a future in engineering – the company has been established for over 100 years so they’ll be no TUPEs or redundancies.

Equipment that you will have experience maintaining will include:

·Pneumatics

·Hydraulics

·PLCs

·Air Compressors

·Pumps

·Motors

·Control Systems

·Conveyors

·Electrical Fault-Finding

In regards to qualifications you will qualified to a minimum of C&G Parts 1 and 2 or NVQ Level 3 as well as holding your 17th Edition. Any other qualifications you hold in regards to H&S or Mechanical will are not a necessity but may give you an advantage.
